Who you’d be working with

Luis Miguel Urdaneta Acedo

Civil engineer, architectural designer, and AI systems builder. Based in Portugal, working internationally in English and Portuguese.

01 — The intersection

Three skill stacks that rarely live in one person

1 / 3

Civil engineer

Structural, geotechnical, and infrastructure language. I read the calculations, not just the renders.

2 / 3

Architectural designer

Design, spatial reasoning, and Portuguese licensing language. I have lived inside a Câmara Municipal dossier.

3 / 3

Developer

I build the AI and automation myself. Not slides, not diagrams — running Python, running cron, running in production.

Most AEC consultants sell process. Most AI consultants can’t read a Câmara Municipal licensing dossier. The intersection is the offer.

Layered on top: based in Portugal, fluent in English, native to the Portuguese AEC system. I translate context, not just language — for the foreign developers, expat architects, and international firms doing Portuguese projects who don’t want to live inside Portuguese bureaucracy.

02 — Current work

What I’m building right now

Master in AI for Architecture and Construction at Zigurat Institute of Technology (in progress, thesis defense August 2026) — where my TFM team is building a 7-agent system for RRAE acoustic-compliance verification on BIM models.

My weekly cadence: building demonstrations on real projects, writing the methodology, and shipping to a small number of selected clients. The personal system behind the methodology — 7,571 lines of Python, 12 AI skills, 11 vaults — runs on my own context daily. See the case study →

03 — Architectural design background

Before the systems work, the projects

Residential and commercial architectural design across Portugal, integrating sustainability principles and AI-driven design tools. This portfolio stays online as proof that the AEC understanding is first-hand — designed and visualised, not consulted from the outside.
